When researching and purchasing a purebred Akita, we
hope you receive the wisdom, dedication, and knowledge of those breeders
whom you meet. For your protection and the betterment of all Akitas,
we cannot stress enough the importance for you to shop wisely and
carefully.
When looking at that cute puppy “in the pet store window”,
at the “free flea market”, or a puppy bred by a well-meaning,
but misdirected “backyard breeder”, please stop and consider
the many reasons why you should avoid impulse buying.
The Akita breeders listed below are GGAC members in good standing
and pay an annual fee to be listed here. They will be happy to answer
your questions and provide you more information about the Akita breed.
However, please be advised, the Club, its officers and membership
do not endorse, guarantee, or rate breeders, their dogs or their kennels.
We strongly recommend all buyers to be certain to check matters relating
to American Kennel Club registration, health and quality of puppies,
and secure guarantees/agreements in writing.
